About Us
After decades working on behalf of victims who suffered injuries at the hands of the asbestos, tobacco and the pharmaceutical industries, we recently formed Gordon & Reeves to fight for justice and compensation for the victims of thalidomide worldwide.
This journey started when our senior partner, Peter Gordon, negotiated a settlement for Australian thalidomiders, people who had suffered birth defects after their mother injested the pharmaceutical product, thalidomide. During the course of those proceedings, we conducted months of research and spoke with many experts, and as a result formed the opinion that many people who were injured as the result of this injustice have never been properly compensated. We are now fighting to reverse that injustice.
We believe the thalidomide tragedy has never been fully exposed and certainly never adequately dealt with. We believe that while the justice delayed in thalidomide cases has been justice denied, it is better for us to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
